Thank you very much 2nd amendment rights.

Thirteenth Amendment: Section 1.

forgot gun and 2nd amendment talk

As for the reasoning you posted, humiliation easily falls under the category of cruel and unusual punishment which is banned by the 8th amendment in the USA, and is banned in most other developed countries as well.

Lobbys have existed for decades (maybe centuries) to try and weaken/crumble the 1st and 2nd amendment.

Back in 2012 they tried to pass an amendment that banned same sex marriage.
source: Redditshow context
And they got around the law by what is most certainly a case of the cops lying to violate forth amendment protections.

7 "Also why would you want to impinge upon peoples 1st Amendment rights."
source: Redditshow context
- only the state can impinge on your first amendment right.
source: Redditshow context
That amendment is not between you and me, you and wal-mart.
source: Redditshow context
I realize the Supreme Court has been whittling down the 4th Amendment since the Burger Court, but it hasn't gotten that bad.

Amendment: In light of your agreement (before I this post), I'll join the Axis.
source: Redditshow context
Covering more than one base in an amendment is not uncommon.
source: Redditshow context
You're saying this amendment exists simply to affirm the right of the individual modern gun nut to play with guns like toys and strap them on just to go to Wal-Mart if he wants to.
source: Redditshow context
But it isn't just present in addition to the amendment.
source: Redditshow context
It is closely linked by the grammar of the amendment, implying that the keeping/bearing of arms is in service to the militia (since militias are important).

Along with lawyers that work to protect the second amendment as well.
source: Redditshow context
It is just one of those reserved rights of the states to determine how to establish the procedures for such things because the Federal Government doesn't have the authority for it (this falls under the 10th Amendment).

The Safe Haven Act is an amendment to Chapter 119 of the Massachusetts General Laws, section 39.5.
source: Redditshow context
And on top of THAT you have to look at the fact that after slavery was abolished the new laws were bypassed by simply mass arresting blacks and then putting them back to the exact same work as prisoners since prisoners aren't protected by the thirteenth amendment.

This is really poorly written and does not seem to understand the first amendment in a legal sense at all.
source: Reddit
The amendment was made to change that.
source: Redditshow context
But the guy still had his fourth amendment rights up until the point he waived them, and I just don't think he should get a get-out-of-jail-free card over an ambiguous traffic law.
source: Redditshow context
I'd like to request a flair that reads "Amend the Second Amendment" please.
source: Redditshow context
It's called Amendments 1, 4, and 2.
source: Redditshow context
Man, I love the second amendment.
source: Redditshow context
We should rewrite the second amendment to protect the right to bear video cameras.

This is a state that isn't close to legalizing marijuana, a state whose people passed a constitutional amendment defining marriage as only between a man and woman, and most influential in my life, when I bought my house making me the second owner, I was forced to sign something saying that the original builders still retained mineral and oil rights.
source: Redditshow context
Although I'm as good as gone if those same people were to ever pass an amendment allowing the state to levy an income tax.
source: Redditshow context
However they would also like to eliminate the 14th amendment and the civil rights act.
source: Redditshow context
The 4th Amendment is a pretty strong reason.
source: Redditshow context
Doing so before that is flouting the 4th amendment.
source: Redditshow context
I am a competitive shooter and a life member in the NRA and Second Amendment Foundation and I would not be opposed to requiring a 45 minute gun safety video before a person's first gun purchase.
source: Redditshow context
The campaign against the Constitutional amendment was led by a republican (Megan Robertson) and the IndyGOP opposed it.
source: Redditshow context
It is long past time to repeal the stupid Second Amendment.
source: Redditshow context
Repealing the 2nd Amendment will not solve the "pandemic of sick violence".
source: Redditshow context
I guess he missed the whole second part of the 2nd amendment where it says "the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed".
source: Redditshow context
There has been enough debate over the grammar and structure of the 2nd amendment.
source: Redditshow context
The Supreme Court ruled in favor of the wording of the 2nd amendment, which is apparently against the spirit of the Constitution being the highest law of the country, and that is somehow hijacking the ideals of equal voting rights?
source: Redditshow context
Quite refreshing to see a court decision that strengthens the 4th Amendment instead of weakening it.
source: Redditshow context
You have a 5th Amendment right (in America) to say as little as you want.
source: Redditshow context
Probably wouldn't take them more than a century to ratify that amendment.
source: Reddit
The first amendment doesn't say "A vibrant national discourse, being necessary to the health of a free State, blahblahblah".
source: Redditshow context
The 4th amendment doesn't explain why you can only be searched with a warrant.
source: Redditshow context
This is why I'm glad America has a second amendment
