would you rather have the flue or a 3 week cold?

Stomach flue, went through entire family

Power venting is for high efficiency units located in lower Flores of buildings...the exhaust gasses aren't hot enough/don't have enough energy to migrate up the flue and create draft...so it needs some assistance.

We removed an old oil furnace flue from my first house and it not an easy/fun process.

Just because somebody is qualified to fix your leaking faucets does not mean they are qualified to troubleshoot draft and flue issues.

We have a spring load flue that we haven't done a good job in keeping closed then the fireplace is not being used.
source: Redditshow context
A natural draft flue cap against a wall where wind pressure can force the flue gas back into the house was a waste of your time.
source: Redditshow context
A wild guess at flue sizing based on what was existing is a bad plan.
source: Redditshow context
If that is single wall flue pipe on that water heater (that's what it looks like but I can't tell) just off the side of your house is dangerous.
source: Redditshow context
Was the flue shot updated to include this strain or are the just sticking to a script no matter what?
source: Redditshow context
I was actually miserably sick with the stomach flue yesterday.
source: Redditshow context
The furnace is hunting for air is putting your water heater flue into a negative pressure.

I worked in an EPC (engineering, procurement, consulting company) where all I did was design off-gas systems (including cyclones, scrubbers, baghouses, etc...) for gold recovery circuits; those things produce FAR less than the million plus tonnes of GHGs coal plants produce, but we still have to manage their flue gasses carefully.

The flue is 2" PVC goes to 1' above anticipated snow level and would be safer.

Cigarette tobacco is flue-cured, meaning that it is aged over hot pipes, changing its chemical makeup and raising its pH.

He does need to make very sure he keeps up with the maintenance and cleaning of the flue and pipes.
source: Redditshow context
The descriptions I had heard of flue fires were seriously scary.
source: Redditshow context
My chimney is about 35ft off the ground, so planning on hiring someone to install the flue, etc.
source: Redditshow context
The water heater flue outlet is right next to a window.
source: Redditshow context
The flue is strapped to the siding, wrapped in insulation, and the spray-foam around the penetration is not OK. No.
source: Redditshow context
The entire month of December and now January was spent swapping flues and colds.
source: Redditshow context
In my province you are not allowed to share flue with solid fuel and gaseous fuel appliances.
source: Redditshow context
if the required liner is expensive (like a 10 inch or needs to be a custom size or what not) you may be able to install an electric water heater and then use a smaller flue for just the boiler.
source: Redditshow context
A natural draft water-heater is meant to be vented into a flue (masonary or b-vent) that rises up at least 2' higher than the roof or with a certified side wall vent.
source: Redditshow context
The furnace is hunting for air is putting your water heater flue into a negative pressure.
source: Redditshow context
The flue pipe needs to be above the roof or else you'll never get a correct vent.
source: Redditshow context
Part of what causes your flue gas to vent is the air blowing across the top of the pipe.
source: Redditshow context
The other part of what allows the draft to happen is the heat of the Chimney or flue pipe.
source: Redditshow context
So putting the pipe directly outside, even with insulation around it, it won't allow the flue gas to stay hot enough to draft properly.
source: Redditshow context
EDIT: in my opinion, you should have the tank moved closer to the Chimney and flue it back into there.
source: Redditshow context
On our stove we just lifted the bottom of the flue off of it, put a trash bag around the pipe, and used the brush.
source: Redditshow context
It's already been openly admitted, even on the packaging of flue shots that they are indeed infecting people with the flu, and multiple strains to boot.
source: Redditshow context
Fires designed to burn coal have a grate that allows the ash to escape and air to enter from the bottom as well as from above since coal should be surrounded with air to burn properly, wood burners tend to just have a flat grate for ash and a vent on the front as well as a larger flue since wood doesn't burn as clean as coal.
source: Redditshow context
Burning wood in a coal fireplace can cause smoke to blow back into your house as the flue gets clogged.
source: Redditshow context
So they flew through a flaw in the flue.
source: Redditshow context
beginning of the flue sounds about right... sort of achey all over with no specific pain points... although feet and ankles hurt if I've been sitting/lying down for a little while.
source: Redditshow context
That means any blockage of the flue or heat exchanger will result in combustion gasses escaping into the house.
source: Redditshow context
They went off to the air closet, where a wind sucked them like brown leaves up the flue to their slumber rooms.
source: Redditshow context
And the three of them went babbling off while he let himself be vacuumed upstairs through the air flue and set about dressing himself.
source: Redditshow context
They went downstairs in the air flue and ran down the hall.
source: Redditshow context
As long as the cables aren't touching the flue i'm sure they're fine thermally.

Von Flue choke?
source: Reddit
Yeah, i don't think a rapier as a flue would work well, unless you say a like Ocarina type adaptation was at the guard, making your personal weapon very important to keep track of and unique.
source: Redditshow context
A flue is a chimney.
source: Redditshow context
In addition you should have a thermometerr on your stove top and one on your flue about 18 inches above the stove.
source: Redditshow context
"Low" might also indicate they're not up to snuff on the public health flue-related surveillance front.

Everyone experiences colds/flues differently.

I was trying to find the right place to mention the flue.
