If I give my life to save an unconscious girl on the train tracks just in the nick of time, and no one else is around, and the conductor is asleep (just assume no one is conscious to observe the act of me saving her), and my corpse will be dragged too far away for the girl to see when she wakes up but not far enough to get to the next station or place with an alert population, so I slide off a couple miles down and die in the wilds, eaten and bones buried or scattered leaving no evidence that I would have ever been there (or in the area of the girls rescue) and I die believing that no one will ever know I saved the girl, and I wouldn't even know before I died if she was still alive or not because it happened too fast - besides I am not religious so there is no personal lingering benefit that i may experience from saving her (even if I knew I did in the split second before I died) - then that is 100% selfless.
