Well it's probably more trouble than it's worth, but just for kicks I've heard that if you have a hard suitcase (not canvas) that can lock shut, if you pack a starter pistol (like the kind used for track meets, can be had for cheap) and declare it at check in, the TSA counts those as a firearm and so they do an inspection with you there and then let you lock up the suitcase with your lock that they can't open (unlike how normally all luggage locks have to be those ones that they can access), and they label the bag special and nobody is allowed to open it en route.
