They are saying natural law does not care for the choices you make concerning veganism/vegetarianiam.

I guess my thought with things like the weather would be that the weather operates by natural laws that we have discovered, and that natural laws are determined by God (or maybe these natural laws exist as a consequence of God existing(this is totally just a random idea that crossed my mind) but God could just as easily make Arizona into an ice box and Canada into a scorching wasteland just by changing weather patterns (in other words, manipulating natural laws, that in this instance happen to be known and well understood to man).
source: Redditshow context
Yes we know that lack of certain weather patterns and conditions are how the drought is brought to pass and that actions consistent with natural laws will end it but we don't know the ultimate purpose of the drought, and doesn't a Christian believe that everything that happens in the world has a purpose or do they believe some things are just random?

Now, I will claim that if he can't solve that paradox within the laws of our current universe (natural laws and logic) then he is limited.
source: Redditshow context
There's a lot to comment on, but one issue: natural law is a nonsensical concept.
source: Redditshow context
If you suggest we 'do' have rights, or that there is some 'natural law' that all men are equal, it doesn't follow that we should do anything.
source: Redditshow context
But regardless of your ethics, natural law is definitely not the only moral system on which to base a government.
source: Redditshow context
He's essentially espousing 'natural law' which doesn't hold up in a serious philosophical discussion as it doesn't explain anything and any silly moral argument could be speciously won appealing to that empty rhetoric (which explains why so many diverging opinions from Christianity, to capitalism to Islam appeal to it, but get wildly different answers).

Police have put themselves at risk by assuming they can be above the law, which itself is just a reflection of natural law.

Magic implies a suspension of the natural laws.

All planed out, and all functioning under a set of unbreakable natural laws

I would think the source of Tao is a natural law and the law has rules like math.
source: Redditshow context
It's established elsewhere in this post and is well founded natural law.
source: Redditshow context
This is the principle behind the natural law.
source: Redditshow context
Miracles are, simply put, temporary violations of natural law; God is the one who created natural law, and therefore has the power to break such law when he sees fit.
source: Redditshow context
There's no natural law to protect us from that.
source: Redditshow context
Nothing that I do requires the suspension of natural law.

"Fallen Nature", like "total depravity", is a theory to explain human observations in light of natural law theory.
source: Redditshow context
States are NOT the result of some natural law, but a self-imposed community law.
source: Redditshow context
This amendment which I have offered is simply declaratory of what I regard as the law of the land already, that every person born within the limits of the United States, and subject to their jurisdiction, is by virtue of natural law and national law a citizen of the United States.

These are usually derived from natural laws - situations where being cooperative is mutually beneficial for all of society.

Justice Scalia, unfortunately, has stated that he rejects natural law legal theory.
source: Redditshow context
He believes the Constitution should be interpreted to correspond with the original intent of its drafters, even when that intent contradicts the natural law.
source: Redditshow context
Also Justice Samuel Alito, who is the most sympathetic justice to natural law legal theory.

If a newspaper were to describe the NPD as a "grassroots movement" that was "shaking the political establishment", and then cited figures - be they historical or contemporary - of the "benefits" of "natural law" or the "disadvantages" of "inferior ethnic groups", then no-one would have any problems calling it propaganda.
source: Redditshow context
Basically, regardless if you're deriving your moral law from secular humanism or divine and natural law we see people going against that law anyway.
source: Redditshow context
"Thou shalt not kill" is certainly not part of natural law.
source: Redditshow context
Mises actually, in as gentlemanly rhetoric as is possible, chuckled at the frivolity of moral realists and natural law theorists, as can be seen later in the quoted passage.
source: Redditshow context
The natural law is our ability to determine proper morality through reason.

It also answers a number of metaphysical/theoretical questions about the universe, such as why it exists, and why natural law is comprehensible to the human mind, though that hypothetical deity's intentions are unknown.

Alternatively, one could argue that zombies are simply possible by denying that they violate any natural laws.
source: Redditshow context
Zombies have nothing to do with natural laws, so we can get rid of that issues without any fuss.

I learned about Scholastic metaphysics and natural law.
source: Redditshow context
That sounds like you are assuming someone cannot believe in God, and natural law.
source: Redditshow context
The universe is ordered and all natural things behave according to natural laws - this is the basis of science.
source: Redditshow context
Alchemy is a science so it must follow the natural laws: to create, something of equal value must be lost.
source: Redditshow context
Regardless, it does not say "natural law", nor are there any categories in Deuteronomy, Leviticus or Exodus.
source: Redditshow context
They go from Universal Ethics, which are defined in natural laws and affect all of humanity (and in some cases, higher thinking animals) to Personal Ethics which are different for each person.
source: Redditshow context
My point is that the natural law is only concerned in what is moral with respect to our interactions with each other.
source: Redditshow context
It also comes right after the part where he will write the natural law on our hearts, meaning that even if you have never heard about God, you have been given intelligence and reason to access the moral law anyway.
source: Redditshow context
Mistakes are made–or imagined–by man, the creature with the overloaded Brain who separates himself from the supporting network of natural laws by interfering and trying too hard.
source: Redditshow context
Positive law must conform with the natural law and only derives its binding power from the natural law, and interpretations of laws, even the Constitution, that are out of sync with the natural law do grave damage to justice and the common good.
source: Redditshow context
I think Catholic judges have a duty to interpret laws in the way most consistent with the natural law.

Is he a legal positivist or is he a natural law theorist?
source: Redditshow context
We look away from government for relief, because we know that force (legalized) invades the personal liberty of man, seizes upon the natural elements and intervenes between man and natural laws; from this exercise of force through governments flows nearly all the misery, poverty, crime and confusion existing in society."

However, our understanding of biology is potentially useless in any discussion regarding the legendarium because as a fantastical universe the natural laws of our world do not necessarily apply.

Nature created an aspect of nature separate from itself - we are creatures that should not exist by natural law.
source: Redditshow context
I do believe in a deterministic universe where everything that occurs does so following natural laws that define existence.
source: Redditshow context
He was correct, nothing exists outside of the natural laws of the universe only our understanding of it.
